As part of our Community Improvement District initiative, you may have seen our team and our wider community coming together to transform a plot of land on Corporation Road into our community growing garden.
Along with creating community spaces and giving local residents access to more green spaces – a big issue with urban areas such as Hendon – we are working with Durham Wildlife Trust to make nature more accessible to everyone.
Our CEO Jo says the partnership has already broken down barriers and outlined the vital role nature plays in people’s mental and physical health.
