Our goals are to create an Influencing Role for residents and a Stronger Community.

Back on the Map are committed to creating opportunities for residents to have an influencing role in their community. We work with residents to identify local priorities, come together to improve their environment and influence service delivery. Back on the Map is also dedicated to giving local people an Influencing Role within the organisation by providing opportunities at all levels for local people to actively participate through volunteering. There are many roles and volunteering opportunities some of which include; 

  • Charity Board Member
  • Carnegie Community Centre User Committee Volunteer
  • Community Library Volunteer
  • Community Services Volunteer
  • Group Leader Volunteers

We work hard to build a Stronger Community through our groups and activities in Carnegie Community Corner and wider community events across the area. Some of the groups and services we offer include;

  • Credit Union - Mondays 1pm
  • Outdoor Crafts - Mondays 1pm
  • Social Art Group - Tuesdays 10:30am
  • Singing for the Soul - Tuesdays 10am
  • Creative Writing - Tuesdays (Fortnightly) 1:30pm
  • Storytime Tots - Wednesdays (Term Time) 10am
  • MIND Outreach Drop-in - Wednesdays 1pm
  • Crafty Knitters - Thursday 1pm
  • Employability Drop-in - Thursdays 10am
  • Play Tots - Fridays (Term Time) 10am
  • Hendon History Group - Last Thursday of the month 5pm
  • Book Club - Third Friday on the month at 10am 
  • Community Cinema Club - See Whats On section
