Family Fun at Carnegie Community Corner
Over the school holidays Back on the Map linked up with the City Libraries to be part of the nationwide Summer Reading Challenge. 25 children signed up to read a book a week throughout the summer.
Alongside the Reading Challenge we ran a Storytime session once a week for younger children and their parents and held a Teddy Bear's Picnic at the Hendon Together Event on the Town Moor to inspire children to read and to enjoy a free, safe, community learning space at the Carnegie Community Corner.
While the Summer Reading Challenge is over for this year there’s still time to get involved with our Family activities. Here's what we have on offer at Carnegie Community Corner for families each week;
Playgroup fun for children aged 0-4. Toys, music and games provided but children must be supervised at all times by a parent, grandparent or gaurdian. Refershments will be available at a small charge.
